Heather Armstrong started Dooce.com in February 2001. A year after she was fired from her job for entries she wrote about people in her workplace. I have been reading her blog for a little over a year now and love it. Yesterday some friends and I went to Borders in Oak Brook to meet her and get our books signed. She is such a riot!
Paul Rand (1941-1996) is one of my favorite graphic designers. His simplistic Swiss style is very inspiring. I always find myself reading one of his books or watching a youtube video. Here are some of his great quotes:
